As a person centred counsellor I believe that it is through developing a trusting relationship that change can happen. I strive to work in the best way for each of my clients individually, which means I do not have a particular agenda in mind other than to be fully present with my client. Your experiences are unique to you, my role is to try to step into your way of experiencing the world and sharing my reflections with you. In doing this I hope to help you make the changes you wish to make in order to live the life you want. I know that taking the first step towards change can be scary, but I hope that by taking that step together can make it feel easier.
I feel that finding the right counsellor for you is important, therefore I am happy to talk with you on the phone to explore whether I am the right counsellor for you, free of charge, prior to booking your first session. We can discuss any concerns you may have about coming for counselling and I am happy to answer any questions.
As I feel we are all individual, how the counselling sessions are structured is something we will agree together. Usually sessions will last for 50 minutes and are weekly or fortnightly. However, I am happy to work in a way that is most comfortable for you.
I charge £40 per one to one session.
"When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another."

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
I am a trained and qualified person centred counsellor based in Comrie, Perthshire. I have worked for many years in the charity sector, supporting families and individuals in different contexts, including those with additional support needs.
For the past year I have been working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse within a specialist organisation. I have been practicing mindfulness for over 15 years and find that this can be useful to some clients, particularly those affected by stress, trauma and anxiety.
I hope to provide clients with a safe, confidential space in which to be heard and accepted as you are. I do not have a magic wand or all the answers and I truly believe that only you can be the expert on your own life. However, I hope that by providing empathy, honesty and acceptance that we can journey together to help you find the answers you are looking for.
I am a member of BACP and work to their ethical framework.
"As no one else can know how we perceive, we are the best experts on ourselves."
